I’m Sarah McCulloch, a hairdresser, session stylist, and cutting educator with over 30 years behind the chair. Hairdressing has taken me on an incredible journey, from those early days of feeling unsure and undertrained, to building a salon I love, working on creative shoots, and teaching hairdressers across the UK.

I’ve always believed that great hair education should be accessible to everyone. I didn’t come from fancy salons or endless opportunities I had to travel, train, experiment, and push myself to learn. That’s why I teach the way I do now, honest, practical, inclusive, and designed to give you real confidence with all hair types and all cutting shapes.

Why Bespoke?

The idea for bespoke classes was born from a realisation of our unique backgrounds and training experiences. Reflecting on my own journey, I questioned how a standard cutting course could effectively teach individuals with varying skill sets, experience, and knowledge. I envisioned a more personalised approach to education, ensuring everyone could benefit equally and improve.

A bespoke cutting class is tailor-made for each individual. Once a stylist books a class, I send a detailed questionnaire to understand their career stage and specific needs. Whether they’re beginners, looking to refine their skills, aiming to become precision cutters, or aspiring to teach, I craft a unique curriculum to guide them to the next level.

Why do I do this? Because I believe every stylist deserves to be an exceptional hair cutter, regardless of their training background. It’s never too late to start. With the right guidance, we can all achieve greatness.
